Terms: We accept Visa/Master Card,
Checks and Money Orders for payment of your order. Note: Personal checks may
be held for clearance before shipping. Remember that we have a minimum order of
$10.00 plus a $7.00 shipping and handling charge. The $7.00 shipping
charge covers orders that are up to 2 pounds shipped within the continental
United States. Your shipping costs may be more depending on the weight of your
package and your location.
For foreign orders, we accept Visa/MasterCard and
Money Orders drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. funds only (personal or company checks
are not accepted). Please include extra shipping. Due to the greater amount of
paperwork, we have a $50.00 (plus shipping) minimum order to Foreign Countries
(except Canada and Mexico). Please see the international section below.

COD and Open Account: We are
sorry, but we do not accept C.O.D. or Open Account Orders.
Shipping: Please include $7.00
shipping to cover up to 2 lbs. to anywhere in the continental United States. We ship
most orders by UPS surface, therefore, we must have a street address. If you
live outside of the continental United States, or must have your order shipped to a PO
box, you must still include a minimum of $7.00 to cover the shipping.
Hawaii and Alaska orders must include at least $7.00 for shipping. Please note that $7.00 is the minimum cost for shipping. If
shipment of your order costs more than $7.00, we will usually send your
order (unless amount owed is too great), but we will attach a note telling you
how much more you need to remit to us. UPS surface delivery takes between 4 and
8 working days (M-F) to deliver your package after we give it to them. If your
order is for a large quantity of heavy items such as transformers, wooden
cabinets, etc., you will need to include more for shipping as these packages are
over 2 lbs. We normally process all orders within 3 days after receipt of the
order, however, if you have paid for your order with a personal check we may
wait for our bank to clear your check. International customers: Please see the
international section below.
Rush Service: If you would like same day
shipment, and you have paid for your order with Visa/MasterCard, Money Order or
Cashiers Check, please include $10.00 extra RUSH
charge (in addition to the $7.00 shipping charge). We will then process your
order within 24 hours and ship it out via UPS blue label rush shipping (up to 2
lbs.). Normally, blue label arrives anywhere in the Continental U.S.A. within 3
working days. On large quantity orders, our rush service costs more than
$10.00, so please call for actual costs if this applies.
Returns: Parts may be returned
within 30 days if they are in original condition. Kits may be returned within
30 days only if they have not been opened. No adjustments whatsoever can be
made after 30 days. All returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
A Note about our Kits: Kits cannot
be returned for any credit adjustment or refund once they have been opened. We
do however, have a repair service. If your kit fails to operate, you may return
it to us with a check for $8.00 and we will repair your kit and return it by UPS
to you. All requests for repairs must be made within 30 days of your original
order date and the $8.00 amount must be included with your returned kit (our
actual costs are much higher than $8.00 - we offer this as a service to you).
We reserve the right to refuse to repair any kit which our technicians determine
to be uneconomical to repair.

implied warranties of merchantability and fitness, arising in connection with
the sale of any product described in this catalog. In no event shall The
Electronic Goldmine be liable for any claim for incidental or consequential
damages arising out of or in connection thereof with the manufacture, sale,
delivery or use of any product in this catalog.

Is Online Ordering Safe?
Is a credit card transaction of this type really safe from fraud? The short
answer is "Yes." The long answer is...
Most consumers do not realize that security protocols and technologies
currently exist to protect them. Most of the reported credit card fraud over
the internet has involved people emailing their credit card account
numbers to merchants, or web sites accepting credit cards without using any security protocols. Please do not e-mail credit card information.
Such potentially insecure methods of data transmission are not used here at
The Electronic Goldmine. We employ the latest in internet security and
electronic commerce security:
- Operating System Security
. The The Electronic Goldmine online store
operates under the Windows NT operating system. We have employed the
strictest security (secure users, groups and passwords) offered by Microsoft’s
high-end operating system.
- Database Security
. The Electronic Goldmine gathers customers,
products, and orders in databases. Those databases are secured with passwords
set up at the table level. Even someone typing on the computer the database is
stored on would have to know the database passwords to gain access to the
information.
- Encoded Credit Card Slips
. Credit card transactions (or slips,
as they are known in the banking industry) are encoded using the Secure
Electronic Commerce (SET) standard pioneered by Visa and MasterCard. Even if
someone were to intercept a transaction, they would not be able to gain access
to the information. Credit card transactions are handled in real time between
your credit card issuer and our bank.
- SSL Server Certificate
. The Electronic Goldmine uses an SSL server
certificate. What’s a server certificate? A company wanting to do business on
the world wide web must prove to a trusted third party, such as VeriSign Inc.
or Thawte Consulting, that they really exist and have the right to use a
particular domain name (Internet address). An SSL Certificate is then assigned
to that business that authenticates their domain.
When a customer uses a modern web browser (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer), the browser can automatically check
the business's authenticity. If the browser can't verify that VeriSign or
Thawte vouches for the business, it will refuse to start an encrypted session,
or at least pop up a window warning the customer that the browser can't
determine authenticity. The encryption mechanism used for SSL certificates is
so secure, the U.S. government prohibits its export outside the United States.
So shopping with us at The Electronic Goldmine really is safe. In fact, it
would be much easier for a thief to steal your credit card information from
the carbon copy of a receipt than to intercept an online secure transaction at
our web site.
International Customers
We welcome orders from all over the world. For all foreign orders,
we accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Money Orders drawn on U.S. banks in U.S. funds only
(personal or company checks are not accepted). Please include extra shipping.

receive will be for shipment within the United States. If you have
